The idea

- Smokiez entered NJ in January 2025. I was hired in May as the Field Marketing Manager to build relationships and grow the brand in the state.
- Smokiez Handcrafted Edibles is produced using a delicious family recipe. It is Gluten-free, made with Pectin, which makes it Vegan, and infused with consistent high-quality cannabis for a great, elevated-tasting candy.

The process

- Spearhead brand activation and education initiatives at vendor days and local events across NJ, directly engaging with potential customers (B2C) to build brand awareness and educate them on Smokiez's product line, including the Spinello brand.
- Cultivate strong relationships with budtenders and dispensary (B2B) staff through regular engagement, providing product knowledge, merchandising support, and gathering valuable market feedback to inform brand strategy & negotiations at over two dozen dispensary locations with streamlined routing.
- Manage visual merchandising, in-store buildouts, and displays across retail locations to enhance product visibility and ensure a consistent brand presence, contributing to improved store performance.
- Established vendor relationships for print production, along with budget management for promotional items.
- Implement data-driven GTM strategies, including promotions and budtender incentive programs, utilizing Spark, to grow sales and maintain inventory on shelves within the owned territory.
- Oversee **Smokiez NJ Media Kit** and creative assets, including Canva templates, facilitating cohesive brand representation and compliance with regulations across all marketing channels.
The result
- Created a process to manage and track all field marketing projects within systems, including Hubspot, Hoodie, and Leaflink.
- Grow the Smokiez and Spinello brands and customer base in the newly entered New Jersey market, with sales increasing by 160% after one month of consistent field marketing activity, achieving the highest scorecard. This achievement makes Smokiez the fastest-growing cannabis brand in NJ and a top 5 edible within the territory (from 9th place).
- Driving consistent sales increases across a territory of over two dozen dispensaries by building strong relationships, delivering comprehensive budtender training, and orchestrating monthly to bi-monthly brand activations with effective promotions.
